Islamic Courses
Jamia Nooria offers a comprehensive curriculum blending classical Islamic sciences with modern studies — nurturing scholars who are grounded in tradition and prepared for contemporary life.
Duration: Foundation level
A foundational course in Islamic basics covering three core pillars:
- Aqeedah — Islamic beliefs and creed according to Ahle Sunnat Wa Jama'at
- Ibadat — Acts of worship including Salah, Sawm, Zakat, and Hajj
- Akhlaq — Islamic conduct, etiquette, and moral character
This course forms the bedrock of every student's Islamic education at Jamia Nooria.
Duration: 1–2 years (based on prior knowledge)
Qur'an reading with proper pronunciation rules (Tajweed). Students learn:
- Correct articulation of Arabic letters (Makhaarij)
- Rules of elongation (Madd) and stopping (Waqf)
- Ghunna, Idgham, Iqlab and other Tajweed rules
- Fluent recitation of the complete Qur'an
Duration: 3–5 years (depending on individual progress)
Full Qur'an memorization program under qualified Hafizas. The program includes:
- Individual attention from dedicated female Hafiza teachers
- Daily revision (Sabaq, Sabaqi, Manzil system)
- Tajweed integrated throughout memorization
- Regular oral examinations to ensure retention
Graduates receive the distinguished title of Hafiza upon completion.
Duration: 1–2 years
The art of Qur'anic recitation with melody and maqamat. Students learn:
- Classical Arabic maqamat (melodic modes) for recitation
- Tarteel — measured, beautiful recitation
- Recitation styles of renowned Qaris
- Performance in Qira't competitions (Musabaqah)
Duration: 8 years (Aalimah) + 2 years (Fazilat/Post-graduation)
The classical Islamic graduation program — the crown of the curriculum. Subjects covered:
- Tafseer — Qur'anic exegesis (Ibn Katheer, Jalalayn)
- Hadith — Sciences of Prophetic traditions (Bukhari, Muslim, Tirmidhi)
- Fiqh — Islamic jurisprudence according to Hanafi school
- Usool al-Fiqh — Principles of Islamic law
- Arabic Literature & Grammar — Nahw, Sarf, Balagha
- Mantiq — Logic and Islamic philosophy
- Aqeedah — Advanced theology
Post-graduation (Fazilat) offers advanced specialization in Hadith and Fiqh. Graduates earn the title Aalimah or Fazilah.
